The West Virginia Environmental Education Association

Presents its 4th Annual Conference

Go For the GOAL

Get Outside and Learn

The Goal of the Annual Conference of the West Virginia Environmental Education Association (WVEEA) is to provide the primary venue for WVEEA to connect and unite environmental professionals, teachers, informal educators, professors, and interested others in order to collaborate on projects, discuss and disperse information, share research, provide professional development opportunities, and strengthen the environmental community in West Virginia

In addition to building strong networks within West Virginia’s boundaries, the annual conference also strives to connect West Virginia educators to the global community of environmental education through affiliation with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).

The 2010 conference will include a silent auction on Saturday night. We are asking each of our registrants to consider bringing an item for auction. The auction will be open all day Saturday, March 13.  All proceeds from the silent auction will go toward scholarships for the 2011 WVEEA conference. WVEEA is a 501c3 organization so donated items are tax-deductible. Some examples of donations you may consider are:  gift baskets of items, items unique to your program or your area of West Virginia; naturalist guides and books; environmental education lesson plans/activities; autographed books or artwork, limited edition items and outdoor gear for the natural resource or natural history enthusiast.  These are only a few suggestions of what to bring. Use your imagination to help make this an enjoyable and successful activity.  The highest bidder of each auction item may pay for their purchases by check or cash.

West Virginia K-12 Teachers are eligible for a scholarship to attend the conference. Download the application or contact us for more information.
